Een western van Blake Edwards. Ligt niet voor de hand. En is ook niet helemaal geslaagd. Dat kwam door de bosses van MGM. Die vonden het nodig dat er fors werd geknipt. Edwards: 'some of the original conception had been lost... I tried to portray a view of American history that is perhaps different from what we believed when I grew up.
