Recensie
Rond 1920 stuurt Australische schapenfokker Jack Dickens regelmatig geld naar de man van zijn overleden zuster Alexander Voysey in London om hem te ondersteunen als literair criticus, omdat hij het zout in de pap niet verdient. Zelf had Jack ooit schrijversambities. Zoveelste vrije bewerking van Oom Wanja van Anton Tsjechov uit 1897, die heel behoorlijk is gedaan en liefhebbers van literaire melodrama's zeker niet zal teleurstellen.
